Miranda Project

Through the legend of Lucia Miranda we investigate certain elements of Spanish and Argentine culture that are still present today defining the way we relate to our environments.
In this legend, not only do we find the first Spanish woman to disembark in what it is today Argentina, but also this event (if it can be called that) is the plot chosen to write what was considered Argentina’s “first national drama”: Siripo, by Miguel de Lavardén.
With the findings from our research we have done together a “multimedia/theatrical-exposition” on 8th. and 9th. May 2009 at: Instituto Cervantes in London.
